Just the Middle

I Thought It Was Over - But It Was Just The Middle

building-from-the-middle

There’s a moment no one talks about.

Not the crash. Not the comeback.

The middle.

That stretch of time where you’re unsure if you’re being tested, forgotten, or protected. Where silence feels heavier than loss. That’s where I found myself.

In 2019, I launched a company with my sons — a vision to build homes and legacy, together. We were early, ambitious, and full of heart. What followed was a storm: pandemic delays, rising costs, zoning issues, lawsuits, eviction, and even arrest.

People think failure is a moment.

But mine was a long, unraveling thread.

And yet, I now believe:

God doesn’t let the story end in the middle.

That’s where He rewrites it.

From that space — the most uncertain, painful, and humbling chapter —came UPH. Then Project Domino. Then Catalyst. Then LYTIX. One vision, born from what felt like the end.

This blog won’t be polished. It’ll be honest.

I’ll share lessons, stories, strategies, and signs of life as they come.

Because I know I’m not the only one building from the middle.

So, here’s to those of us who are still writing the next chapter — even if the ink is shaky and the page is stained with tears.
